Robert Wood is a true Lubbock builder. He was raised in Lubbock, he raised his family in Lubbock, and he enjoys watching his grandchildren grow up around him. It is important to Robert that he surrounds himself with people who share the same principles and work ethic. He encourages his family, his friends, and his employees to be the best at what they do.

Robert began working in the building industry in 1979 on the supplier side of the business. In 2002 he started Custom Homes by Robert Wood and began fulfilling his dreams of being a home builder. His home building knowledge and experience is vast; if he is building a sensible first time home for a family, a garden home for a retired couple, or a million dollar home, he strives to have superior craftsmanship and attention to detail. Robert’s success story is simple: he spends quality time with his clients, he learns about them and their lifestyle, and because of this, he is able to build exactly the home they desire.

Robert knows it is important to be involved in his community and has been active for several years. A few of his most recent accomplishments include serving as 2011 President of the West Texas Home Builders Association, establishing the 501c3 Lubbock Homes for Heroes, and receiving the honor of “Philanthropist of Texas” by the Texas Association of Builders. In 2012 Robert was the President of Lubbock Homes for Heroes and the Past President of the West Texas Home Builders Association. In 2013 he served as Area Vice President and Membership Chair of the Texas Association of Builders. He continues to serve as Area Vice President of the Texas Association of Builders and this year is the HOMEPAC of Texas Chairman. Clearly, Robert remains current and on the forefront of building trends.
